AMAZING GRACE,
how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
was blind, but now I see.

Let love &
faithfulness
never leave you;
bind them
around your neck,
write them
on the tablet
of your heart.
Proverbs 3:3

(WOW. Think about that.)

{ TUNE IN }

You may not see it today or tomorrow,
but you will look back in a few years and be
absolutely perplexed and awed by how every little
thing added up and brought you somewhere
wonderful - or where you always wanted to be.
You will be grateful that things didn't work out
the way you once wanted them to.

I admire people
who choose
to shine
even after
all the storms
they've been through.
To pray is to let go & let God take over.
Rest in Jesus,
trust in His unfailing love.

Beartooth Mountains: Skiing in May

This is me! Standing at the top - about to drop in.
This is steeper then it looks! Here's a pic of my skiing buddy Jonathan -
making summer turns down the Gardner Headwall, Beartooth Mountains, Wymont.

Gardner Lake still frozen down below……
Starting point elevation: 10,852' & finishing el. roughly 9,985' — After skiing down, we had to hike back up other side, gaining about a thousand feet. It was 37 degrees & it rained / sleeted on us while we were hiking back up. The hike out isn't too bad - only takes about 15 − 20 minutes. It's very steep though.

There was much less snow this year. A lot more rock was exposed. The Beartooth Basin was unfortunately unable to open, due to lack of snow. But I still had a blast skiing the Gardner Headwall! If your interested in summer backcountry skiing — Here's a blogpost (with more & better pictures!!) from 2014 with my summer skiing adventures.
